According to Novyny.live: Residents of Konotop in the Sumy region can apply for financial assistance from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on February 5, 2026. This aid is targeted at pensioners and people with disabilities who meet specific eligibility criteria. This program is part of ongoing international support for vulnerable populations in Ukraine.

Assistance Terms and Conditions

The monthly payment will be 3,600 hryvnias per person. The assistance will be provided for three months, totaling 10,800 hryvnias per individual. Registration for the aid will be conducted via the telephone number: 063 182 68 38.

To qualify for the financial assistance, applicants must fulfill certain conditions. Specifically:

  • Internally displaced persons must possess the relevant status and a document confirming their displacement;
  • Refugees who have decided to return must provide a document certifying their departure;
  • Candidates must belong to one of the vulnerable groups, such as single-parent families, households headed by individuals over 55, single citizens aged 55 or older with minor children, or families with persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
