Ukrenergo introduces hourly power outages on January 10: they will be in all regions

According to ТСН: NEK "Ukrenergo" has announced the introduction of hourly power outage schedules for household consumers next Saturday. There will also be restrictions for industry.

This decision was made due to serious damage to the energy infrastructure. The outages will affect all regions.

What restrictions will apply

According to the dispatcher center's order, two types of restrictions will be introduced on Saturday:

  • For household consumers: hourly power outage schedules (HPO) in all regions.

  • For industry: capacity limitation schedules (CLS).

The main reason for such measures is the consequences of massive Russian missile attacks on energy facilities, which have led to a significant reduction in generation and electricity transmission capabilities.

Where to view the schedule

Ukrenergo notes that the situation in the energy system can change very quickly. The exact time of outages at your address is determined by the local distribution system operator.

"Find out the time and volume of outages at your address on the official pages of the energy companies in your region"

Outage schedules for all groups of household consumers are also published by local authorities and the media.

Energy workers urge Ukrainians to consume electricity sparingly when it is available according to the schedule to avoid excessive load on the network.

Winter weather complicates the situation in the energy system due to shelling by Russian troops. Heavy snowfall and wet snow, which lead to the failure of power lines, cause the most problems.

These new outages have become necessary due to the deterioration of the situation in the energy sector caused by military actions. Ukrainians must be ready for possible changes in schedules, as the energy system faces new challenges every day. It is important to follow the recommendations of energy workers, including saving electricity to reduce the load on the network during difficult weather conditions.
