Elon Musk joins the creation of murals in honor of the deceased Ukrainian

According to inkorr.com: Famous businessman Elon Musk supported the initiative to create murals in memory of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who tragically died in the subway in the USA. Musk announced this on his social media accounts.

The idea of establishing such art objects was proposed by Irish-American entrepreneur Eoghan McCabe. He decided to allocate $500,000 in the form of grants of $10,000 for artists who will create murals depicting Zarutska in meaningful places in US cities. Elon Musk also promised to direct $1 million to this project.

Recently, in Charlotte, North Carolina, a tragedy occurred: 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who arrived in the USA as a refugee, was murdered. The incident took place on August 22, and the suspect in the crime has already been detained.

Circumstances of the subway attack

According to video recordings, the attack took place on the Lynx Blue Line train. Iryna entered the car at 21:46 and found herself opposite 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. Later, he unexpectedly pulled out a knife and attacked the woman, inflicting a fatal wound.

Decarlos Brown Jr. was detained immediately after the incident. He was hospitalized with a hand injury, after which he was charged with first-degree murder. The motives for the crime remain unknown.

US President Donald Trump expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and condemned the Democrats' policies due to rising crime rates.

This tragic event prompted the initiative to establish murals in honor of Iryna Zarutska, which Elon Musk joined by allocating $1 million. Eoghan McCabe also provided $500,000 in grants for artists who will create memorial murals in the USA to honor the memory of Iryna and draw attention to the problem of violence.
