Latest Developments in the Conflict with Iran

According to TSN.ua: Iran possesses ballistic missiles capable of traveling up to 4,000 kilometers, putting most of Europe at risk—with Portugal being the sole exception. Recently, Tehran attempted to strike the joint British-American military installation 'Diego Garcia,' though the assault failed. That base lies at least 4,000 kilometers away from the likely launch site.

The attack reportedly involved Khorramshahr-4 missiles, which have a range spanning 3,000 to 5,500 kilometers. During the operation, one missile malfunctioned and missed its target, while another was intercepted by an SM-3 anti-ballistic missile. This incident highlights how technical failures can undermine even aggressive strike attempts.

Iran's Threat and Its Implications

It is worth noting that large portions of the United Kingdom, Spain, and a small part of France fall outside the reach of Iran's ballistic missiles. Portugal stands as the only European nation completely beyond the threat of a missile strike. Additionally, on March 20, a fragment of an intercepted Iranian rocket landed in Jerusalem roughly 400 meters from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, underscoring the regional danger posed by Tehran's arsenal.

The ongoing threat from Iran remains a critical concern for international security, particularly for European countries. Attempts to strike strategic assets emphasize the need for heightened security measures and readiness for potential incidents. At the same time, technical difficulties during missile launches may reveal vulnerabilities in Iran's military programs, potentially limiting its capacity to carry out aggressive actions in the future.
