Russian shelling of Kherson: the head of Ukrposhta Karina Dementiy has died.
Karina Dementiy, the head of the 'Ukrposhta' branch in Kherson, was killed this morning, October 24, during a hostile shelling. This was reported by 'Hlavcom' citing the press service of 'Ukrposhta'.
According to inkorr.com: The woman was on her way to work when the shelling began. 'She was heading to work. In an ordinary minibus filled with ordinary people, at that moment Russian 'Grads' struck the city,' the press service reported.
Mass shelling of Kherson by Russian invaders
This morning, Russian troops conducted a large-scale shelling of the Ship District of Kherson using rocket artillery systems. According to preliminary data, three women were killed, and 14 others were injured. Many people were outdoors and in their homes during the attacks. Seven of the injured were hospitalized.
Additionally, the shelling damaged private and multi-apartment houses, transportation, and infrastructure facilities. It is worth noting that the day before, the enemy carried out 90 airstrikes and dropped 184 guided aerial bombs. A total of 4,987 shellings were conducted, including 152 using rocket artillery systems, and 6,688 kamikaze drones were also employed.
As a result of the brutal shelling, Kherson has suffered significant human losses and material damage. Local residents find themselves in a difficult situation, while the eastern regions of Ukraine remain under tension.
The shelling of Kherson highlights the seriousness of the military situation in the region, where civilians face a constant threat. The city is not only experiencing heavy losses but also needs urgent assistance for the restoration of infrastructure and support for the affected residents.
