According to TSN.ua: Kyiv remains in the grip of a major snowstorm, causing severe traffic congestion and widespread public transport delays. The Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) reports that it is working to clear the aftermath, deploying specialized equipment and personnel. However, residents continue to complain about the poor condition of sidewalks, which remain treacherous for pedestrians. This level of snowfall presents a significant logistical challenge for the city's winter maintenance services.

As of February 17, 2023, the capital continues to face severe mobility issues. Significant delays have been reported on several public transport routes. Specifically, Kyivpastrans has announced delays affecting the following bus lines:

• No. 33T
• No. 44

Bus No. 69 experienced delays on Dziuby Street heading towards the 'Palats Sportu' metro station. The movement of bus No. 33T was hampered along Brovarskiy Avenue, while delays for bus No. 44 were observed on Alisher Navoi Street.

City's Emergency Response Efforts

In response to the heavy snowfall, 256 units of specialized equipment from 'Kyivavtodor' have been mobilized for snow removal, alongside 422 workers assigned to manual clearing crews. Furthermore, over 2,800 municipal maintenance workers are clearing snow in residential areas. Priority is being given to clearing main arteries, bridges, descents, and ascents.

This follows a major transport collapse on February 16, 2023, when 96% of scheduled vehicles were operational on their routes. Despite the efforts of municipal services, the city's cleanup situation remains difficult. Numerous complaints from Kyiv residents highlight the urgent need for improved sidewalk conditions.
