The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, commented on his future after the end of the war in an interview. He noted that he does not plan to escape from reality or seek peace in the forest, as often joked about in social media. According to Budanov, a few days of rest after victory would be appropriate, however, he admits that there is sometimes no ideal rest for him. Even in peaceful times, it is hard to step away from work, as he is always thinking about his subordinates. The intelligence officer also explained that he sometimes forces his subordinates to take a break even against their will, as it is important to 'reboot' in a timely manner. He also confirmed the possibility of trips abroad for Ukrainian intelligence officers, but noted that there are countries worth avoiding due to risks.
