According to Novyny.live: On February 1st, the Day of the Department of Active Actions of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine, addressed the service members of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR). In a message published on Telegram, Budanov extended his congratulations and support to the special forces on their professional holiday. The GUR's special operations forces have been pivotal in conducting deep-strike missions and gathering intelligence since Russia's full-scale invasion.

'Today, February 1st, is a significant day for me and for every graduate of the military intelligence special units—the Day of the Department of Active Actions of the GUR of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence! I congratulate you, my brothers in arms!' Kyrylo Budanov

He emphasized that this holiday holds great importance for all who serve in the Department, stating that 'for each of us, this means a great deal.' Budanov also noted that the feeling of unity and common purpose would always remain with them, as 'no matter where anyone is—we will always be together.'

Furthermore, Kyrylo Budanov remarked that 'the entire world sees your professionalism, bravery, and effectiveness in the war against the Russian aggressor on land, water, and in the air.'
