Putin will participate in a military parade in Beijing dedicated to the capitulation of Japan and the end of World War II. The event is expected to showcase modern anti-ship missiles, combat drones, and ballistic missiles.
Modernization of China's Nuclear Arsenal
According to Reuters, China is accelerating the modernization and expansion of its nuclear arsenal, implementing the largest buildup of strategic capabilities in recent decades. General Anthony Cotton, head of U.S. Strategic Command, noted before Congress that Xi Jinping has ordered the military to prepare for a potential takeover of Taiwan by 2027.
