Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Lytvynenko stated that massive Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are expected at the beginning of the heating season.

With the start of the heating season, one can expect massive Russian strikes on the energy sector, - said Lytvynenko.

The NSDC Secretary added that Ukrainian energy during the war demonstrated its ability to implement innovative solutions.

Let us recall, the Ministry of Energy denied the United Nations' forecast about possible power outages in Ukraine in winter lasting from 4 to 18 hours a day.

It is worth noting that government officials state there will be no issues with energy supply in Ukraine until the end of October and in November.

They also express hope that this winter will pass almost without outages, as it did last year.

By the way, on October 9, 11 days ahead of schedule, NNEGC "Energoatom" brought another power unit of one of the nuclear power plants out of scheduled preventive maintenance - the unit is currently gaining power. "Energoatom" reported that all nine power units operating in the territory under Ukraine's control are ready for the autumn-winter period.

In addition, the European Commission is working on increasing the maximum volume of electricity supply to Ukraine.

The G7 countries and other partners have raised over $4 billion for the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
