NSDC commented on 'peace talks' with Putin.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko expressed his opinion that Russia is not ready for serious peace talks. He said that for such negotiations, Putin needs to be brought to the table. He also noted that Russians have a different strategic culture and can only be spoken to from a position of strength.
Lytvynenko urged Western partners to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons to defeat Russia and warned of the possibility of expanding the conflict to other territories in the case of insufficient support.
He also confirmed that the implementation of the Peace Formula is ongoing and the next summit is being prepared.
Regarding the issue of purging Ukrainian state structures of Russian agents, the NSDC Secretary replied: "The purge has occurred. This is the responsibility of the SBU. It required enormous work because Russia has been working against us for thirty-three years since gaining independence. The Kursk operation showed that Ukraine can organize large-scale operations against Russians."
Lytvynenko also called on European partners to strengthen the fight against online anonymity and be more effective in countering Russian propaganda, which, according to him, destabilizes and damages the image of the West.
Earlier, Putin also mentioned 'peace talks' with Ukraine and threatened Europe.
