According to TSN.ua: A concert by Ukrainian singer MELOVIN, scheduled for February 17, 2023, at the Rivne Palace of Culture 'Tekstylnyk,' was canceled after activists protesting same-sex marriage gathered at the venue's entrance. The demonstration prompted the event's organizers to call off the show. This incident highlights ongoing social debates in Ukraine regarding LGBTQ+ rights and public expression.

Police confirmed that no public order violations were recorded during the protest. They responded promptly to the scene.

"While processing the report, no clashes or other significant breaches of public order were recorded," law enforcement officials stated.

The director of the Rivne Palace of Culture explained the situation: 'There was supposed to be a concert. A corresponding agreement was signed. A group of people arrived, shouting slogans. The organizers' security left the premises. Then the police arrived to speak with those present. Nothing particularly heated occurred.'

MELOVIN, who publicly came out as bisexual in the summer of 2021, recently also announced the end of his engagement to a soldier on Valentine's Day.
