Son kills father in Poltava region: police revealed details of the tragedy.
According to ТСН: The police reported a high-profile murder in the Mirhorod district of Poltava region, where, according to local residents, a son killed his father.
The incident occurred in the village of Velyki Budyshcha. As reported by law enforcement, local residents contacted them to report the discovery of a man without signs of life.
Details of the incident
A investigative operational group, a forensic expert, and criminalists promptly arrived at the crime scene. During the examination of the deceased's body, clear signs of violent death were found. 'A pre-trial investigation has been launched,' the statement reads.
Law enforcement authorities found that a domestic conflict occurred between relatives in one of the private houses. During the quarrel, a man born in 1981 allegedly inflicted fatal injuries on his relative, presumably his father, born in 1955. Whether they are indeed father and son has not been clarified by the police.
Additional facts
In the same house, the cohabitant of the deceased was also found lifeless. No signs of violent death were detected on her body. It is presumed that the woman died from hypothermia, and her body has been sent for examination to establish the cause of death.
The suspect has been detained, and pre-trial investigations have been initiated under Article 115 (intentional murder). He faces up to fifteen years of imprisonment for his actions.
Earlier, local residents reported that the son killed his father in Velyki Budyshcha, and under unclear circumstances, his cohabitant also died. It is known that the son had previously served time in prison for murder.
This tragedy once again draws attention to the issue of domestic violence, which affects not only the victims but also society as a whole. The police urge anyone who has witnessed or been a victim of violence to not remain silent and seek help.
