Kuleba admitted that he urged his 18-year-old son not to go to the front.
Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that he had to convince his 18-year-old son not to go to war. Kuleba shared this in an interview with the BBC.
«He is attending military courses, and I did everything possible to convince him to continue his studies at university for now. I will respect his choice if he decides to go to fight. This is not something to aspire to, but if your time comes, you must meet it with dignity», – said Kuleba.
Kuleba expressed his opinion on the possible lowering of the conscription age, stating that this is unlikely to happen before the age of 18.
«I think it will not be that dramatic. I see no reason why the conscription age should drop down to 18 years», – noted Kuleba.
According to him, a partial reduction of the age threshold by 1-2 years is more likely.
«This is an argument that generals should pass to political leadership and parliament. Most importantly, it affects the people of Ukraine. This will be a very painful decision, which will not receive support from Ukrainian society», – said the diplomat.
It is worth noting that former minister Dmytro Kuleba told journalist Ramina Eshakzai that he currently lives in his girlfriend Svitlana Paveltska's apartment. He dreams of renovating a house in a village in Poltava region and moving there.
Additionally, Dmytro Kuleba, who was recently dismissed as Ukraine's Foreign Minister, has set off on a journey across Ukraine. He has also begun filming videos about his travels, where he talks about Ukrainian cuisine and calls for honoring Ukrainian traditions.
