The district of Kharkiv that has suffered the most as a result of the military conflict is Northern Saltivka. This was reported by the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, in his interview for 'Glavkom'.
According to the mayor, it is Northern Saltivka that has suffered the most from shelling. The enemy forces shelled this microdistrict directly. Most kindergartens, hospitals, and schools have been damaged by shelling, as well as many residential buildings.
Despite this, residents continue to live in Northern Saltivka. Local authorities have done everything possible to provide residents with the necessary conditions - they turned on heating, restored electricity supply, and brought water to the houses.
Despite the decrease in the number of residents, many people still live in Northern Saltivka. However, there are houses that are completely destroyed and need to be demolished.
