Metinvest expands production of defense products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During the war, the company «Metinvest» expanded its range of defense products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the invasion in 2022, the company started producing steel plates for bulletproof vests that were needed at the front. Subsequently, «Metinvest» produced high-class protection bulletproof vests, anti-tank hedgehogs, field stoves, brackets for building protective structures, vehicle armor protection, and devices for protection against kamikaze drones.

In 2023, the company began producing anti-mine trawls and underground bunkers for rapid deployment of defensive positions. «Metinvest» also manufactures underground bunkers from corrugated steel for new defense lines. In addition, the company is developing shelters for command points, which ensure continuous management of military actions in safe conditions.

According to Metinvest's operational director Alexander Myronenko, these points are necessary for coordinating actions on the front line. The production of defense products faces the problem of a lack of human resources, so the company calls for the involvement of private companies in this field.
