According to TSN.ua: On February 14, Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation announced it is expanding its pilot 5G network to the city of Kharkiv. The first to experience the capabilities of this new 5G network were a couple, Vladyslav and Kateryna, who were able to conduct their marriage ceremony online via the government's 'Diia' app. The high-speed 5G connection, capable of reaching several gigabits per second, facilitates smoother online events. The network's remarkably low latency, or ping, of just 1–5 milliseconds, further enhances the quality and reliability of real-time communication.

This expansion follows an earlier 5G pilot launched by the mobile operator Kyivstar in Borodianka, within the Kyiv region, demonstrating the technology's potential across different parts of the country.
