The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation made a cynical statement about the missile strike on Kyiv.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the attack on Kyiv, stating that it was a response to Ukraine's use of missiles made in the USA. According to Bloomberg, as a result of the missile strike that occurred on the night of January 18, three people were killed in the capital.

On Friday, January 17, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense promised to take retaliatory measures in response to the launch of six Ukrainian Atacms missiles at unknown targets in the Belgorod region near the state border. The Ukrainian side has not yet confirmed the use of the weapons.

A series of powerful explosions erupted in Kyiv in the morning. The Russian attack damaged the 'Lukyanivska' metro station. The entrance and exit to the station are closed, and trains are running without stops.

Also, as a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the Shevchenkivskyi district, windows were shattered, and there is smoke in the entrance of a residential building in the Desnyanskyi district.

Currently, four deaths are already known as a result of the attack on Kyiv.

This is just a small piece of the full-scale military conflict that has been going on for 1060 days.
