Mobilization in Ukraine: New contract system and deferrals announced.
New contracts for soldiers of Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense, in accordance with the directive of President Volodymyr Zelensky, is actively working on new contracts for military personnel. The main innovation lies in the establishment of guaranteed terms of service, which will range from 1 to 5 years, as well as the possibility to receive an annual deferment from mobilization after the contract ends. This decision was made based on requests from soldiers and their families, who seek greater fairness and predictability.
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal confirmed that new contracts will be accompanied by an increase in monthly payments, signing bonuses, and an expanded social package.
These changes will contribute to improving the service conditions for military personnel. Reforms in the defense sector have already begun, and all details of the new contracts will be disclosed soon.
Starting from November 1, military personnel in Ukraine will have the opportunity to apply for a deferment from mobilization online. In addition, a basic military service has been introduced to replace the traditional conscription. The state is taking measures to digitize military records and modernize medical commissions, aiming to improve conditions for soldiers of Ukraine.
The implementation of new contracts and digitalization measures promises to significantly change the lives of soldiers, making it more comfortable and predictable. It is important for Ukraine to support the morale of its defenders, and such steps can enhance their readiness to serve in the face of modern challenges.
