Expert on the US Plan: Peace with Russia in 2026 is Impossible.

According to ТСН: To achieve a peace agreement, consent from both parties to the conflict is needed. Kyiv is demonstrating a constructive approach, focusing on stopping the violence. In contrast, Moscow has completely different goals: the Russian side seeks territorial gains, using both diplomatic methods and military force.

Military journalist Vladislav Seleznyov noted during the broadcast of 'KYIV24' that one should not hope for the implementation of the discussed case with 20 points.

Doubts about the Peace Process

The expert believes that it is not just about the territories that the Russian dictator illegally included in the Constitution of the Russian Federation — Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

'I think Putin needs much more. He needs the entire territory of our country to be subordinate and fully controlled. Therefore, it is hard to believe that the peaceful track option currently being worked on will become a reality by 2026. I do not believe it,' Seleznyov concluded.

Earlier, President Zelensky commented on the 14th point of the document that was worked on in the US.

'In the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, the line of military deployment on the date of this agreement is the de facto recognized line of contact,' the president quoted this point of the plan.

Kyiv is trying to maintain territorial integrity and restore peace, while Moscow continues to insist on its territorial claims.
