Occupants have left Donetsk without water: residents are forced to take it from puddles.
The situation with water in Donetsk, captured by the Russians, is catastrophic. However, some residents of Donetsk only need water to place flowers, while others are drawing water for their own needs from puddles.
This was

Donetsk without water
In Donetsk, occupied since 2014, the situation with water is critical.
The existing water pipeline, which supplied water from the Seversky Donets, was destroyed by Russian occupiers during the full-scale war back in 2022, and the new one, which Russia allegedly planned to build from the Don River, has not been completed, as the funds for construction were predictably embezzled.
No place to put flowers
In this situation, the statement from the so-called 'Miss DNR' sounded cynical.
This resident of the occupied Ukrainian city also appealed to the Russian authorities asking to return water to Donetsk.
But the reason she invented was surprising - she claimed that she has nowhere to put flowers.
We remind you that we previously wrote that
in occupied Donetsk, the Russian 'authorities' radically reduced the water supply due to problems withthe water pipeline.
Additionally, we reported on how the abandoned 'Shakhtar' stadium in Donetsk looked in 2025.
As a result of the occupation of Donetsk by the Russians, the catastrophic situation with water supply has led to extraordinary difficulties for residents, sometimes forcing them to seek water in the most unexpected places.
