Moldova is unable to detect drones that violate its airspace.
Moldova cannot detect drones that violate its airspace. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Moldova, Anatoliy Nosatiy. He noted that the country's radars are unable to capture the flight of drones as they were designed in the last century for a different type of warfare. For this purpose, Moldova is considering modernizing its radars and is seeking cooperation with Great Britain, with which it intends to sign a security agreement.
In recent weeks, several drones that violated the country's airspace have been found in Moldova. For example, on November 19, one of them was found in the north of Chisinau near a shopping center and a sports complex. Also, on November 10 and 12, other drones were found.
The President of Moldova, Maya Sandu, stated that these drones do not pose a threat to the country's citizens, but she is concerned about the fact that foreign drones are flying in Moldova's airspace.
