Funding for Youth Projects in Ukraine's Small Communities: Application Deadline is March 2026.
Grants Available for Youth in Ukraine's Small Municipalities
According to Novyny.live: Young people living in small Ukrainian communities now have access to presidential grants to fund their local projects. This funding is specifically for initiatives in municipalities with a population of 5,000 or fewer. The application window for these grants remains open until the end of March 2026. This program is part of a broader effort to empower youth and decentralize development across the country.
Grant amounts will range from 50,000 to 200,000 hryvnias, depending on the project's scale. For individual projects, financial support can be between 75,000 and 500,000 hryvnias. An overall budget of 45 million hryvnias has been allocated to support youth initiatives through the Youth Cultural Fund. Ukrainian citizens aged 14 to 35 who wish to implement their ideas in small communities are eligible to apply.
Application Process and Required Documentation
Additional grants of up to 125,000 hryvnias will be provided by the charitable organization 'Caritas-Spes Ukraine'. In three specific oblasts, grants of up to $5,400 are also available. Applications are to be submitted to the Ukrainian Youth Fund, which is designed to streamline the process of obtaining financial assistance for young people.
To enter the competition, applicants must prepare the following documentation:
- A completed competition application form,
- A detailed budget for the proposed youth project,
- A project implementation plan,
- Information on the applicant's relevant experience,
- A copy of a passport or ID card,
- A copy of an extract from the territorial community register,
- A copy of documentation confirming status as an internally displaced person (if applicable),
- A copy of the taxpayer registration number card.
'The financial support for projects will range from 75,000 to 500,000 hryvnias. Furthermore, an additional 45 million hryvnias has been allocated in the budget to support initiatives through the Youth Cultural Fund,' stated Iryna Borzova.
This initiative aims to motivate young people to take an active role in developing their communities and bringing creative ideas to life.
The introduction of these youth grants for small communities represents a significant step in supporting social activism and fostering local development. It has the potential not only to improve the quality of life within these municipalities but also to energize youth entrepreneurship and creative projects. Given the accessible funding, the initiative could serve as a catalyst for new ideas and the implementation of socially important projects at the local level.
