SBU's Sea Drones Disabled Two Tankers of the Russian 'Shadow Fleet'.
Damage to Oil Tankers in the Black Sea
According to ТСН: SBU sea drones attacked two oil tankers of the Russian Federation's 'shadow fleet': KAIRO and VIRAT in the Black Sea.
According to sources in the SBU, both vessels were empty during the attack and were heading to load at the port of Novorossiysk.
According to the received data, these tankers could have transported oil worth nearly 70 million dollars and helped the Kremlin bypass sanctions. Now these oil tankers are effectively out of operation.
Recall that the day before, the defense forces struck the Saratov oil refinery, a drone storage facility in Crimea, and other military facilities.
This attack is part of large-scale measures aimed at reducing Russia's economic capabilities and increasing sanctions pressure. Alongside the damage to the oil tankers, Ukrainian military continues to eliminate other important targets, which is part of the strategic defense plan. This undoubtedly reflects Ukraine's growing ability to respond to maritime threats.
