The Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed the demining strategy of Ukraine for 2025.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to clear contaminated areas by 2025
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko spoke about the main areas of work for 2025 regarding the clearing of areas contaminated with explosive objects in Ukraine.
The creation of a training base for the preparation of dog handlers is almost completed. It will be used for training search dogs from various departments.
Plans for 2025 include the creation of a Register of areas contaminated with explosive objects. Verified data on areas affected by military actions will be published in this register.
Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is working on expanding the use of innovative technologies. The development of drones equipped with magnetometers and robotic complexes for demining is underway. Currently, over 200 sapper specialists are being trained, and 7 drones are undergoing testing.
The Minister emphasized that thanks to the high professionalism of sapper specialists, support from abroad, and innovative technologies, Ukrainian experts are successfully clearing even the most challenging areas.
'We still have a lot of work ahead, but we are confident that together we can restore security in every liberated community. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine will do everything possible to make every inch of our liberated land safe for life and work,' emphasized Ihor Klymenko.
