voluntarily join the Ukrainian Armed Forcesin various positions – from administrative to combat roles. They will be able to utilize their civilian skills or learn new professions. This is reported by Channel 24.
Voluntary Service of Women in the Armed Forces
The general mobilization affects men aged 25 to 60, while service for women remains voluntary. Mandatory registration is only required for medical personnel and pharmacists.
Recruitment center of the Armed Forcesof the Territorial Defense emphasizes that the positions are adapted to civilian professions and provide comprehensive training.
Job Opportunities in the Armed Forces for Women in Fall 2025
Available positions include:
- administrative: accountant, clerk, lawyer;
- medical: paramedic, nurse, field medic;
- technical: IT specialist, UAV operator, EW specialist;
- other: cook, psychologist, aerial reconnaissance specialist, radar operator, combat medic, scout, shooter.
All candidates will undergo basic and specialized training. The application process is simple: medical examination, contract signing – and you are in service. Compulsory mobilization will only be applied in extreme cases, with the possibility of exemption due to age, health condition, or family circumstances.
How Many Women Serve in the Armed Forces
As of March 2025, approximately 70,000 women serve in the Armed Forces, of which over 5,500 are at the front, according to data from the Ministry of Defense. This demonstrates the growing engagement of women in the protection of the country, focusing on voluntary service and professional development.

Among the new services of the state employment agency is the training of women within the framework of an experimental project that is gaining popularity among employers and the unemployed. 629 women have expressed the desire to retrain, of whom 588 have already started training.
