In Bukovina, a drunken priest caused an accident and beat a policewoman (photo).
The clergyman who caused the accident and then attacked a patrol police officer was detained in the Chernivtsi region. The alcohol test showed an exceeding of the permissible blood alcohol level by almost 10 times. This was reported by the Chernivtsi region police.
The accident happened in the village of Molnytsia. After colliding with a road pole, the truck driver fled the scene in the same vehicle.
The Chernivtsi region police received a report about the accident and started searching for the vehicle and the driver. Patrol police officers, together with officers from Subdivision No. 4 (Hertsa city) of the Chernivtsi District Police Department, managed to stop the sought-after "Kamaz" truck.
During a conversation with the 42-year-old driver, police officers noticed signs of intoxication and offered him a field sobriety test. The test result showed 1.94 per mille.
During the process of drawing up administrative materials, the driver became aggressive, attacked the patrol police officer, causing her bodily injuries and attempting to seize her weapon. The policewoman was taken to the hospital.
Earlier, it was reported that a priest of the Moscow Church in Mukachevo drove into a house. During a meeting with law enforcement, he cursed and shouted at the patrol officers.
