Funeral Held for Viktoriia Shpylka
According to TSN.ua: Patrol officer Viktoriia Shpylka was buried on February 25, 2023, in the village of Verba in the Volyn region. The 24-year-old officer lost her life in a terrorist attack in Lviv on February 22. Shpylka attended the local school until the ninth grade before moving to Kherson. Her death underscores the constant dangers faced by Ukrainian police and security forces during the ongoing war. In 2021, she joined the patrol police and had continued her service in Lviv since 2023. She married in the autumn of 2025; her husband, Maksym, is also a police officer. The tragedy in Lviv cut short the life of a young woman dedicated to protecting her fellow citizens.

In connection with this tragic incident, a 33-year-old resident of Kostopil in the Rivne region has been notified of suspicion for the crime. Shpylka's death has resonated widely, highlighting the severe risks law enforcement personnel face amid the armed conflict.
