In Transcarpathia, violations have been found in the hospital where military personnel are being treated: what are the conditions there?.
In the Volovec Hospital in the Transcarpathian region, violations of the rights of military personnel receiving treatment here have been identified. This was reported by the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada in the Transcarpathian region.
In September of this year, the office conducted an audit of this hospital and found several violations. Among them were issues with food, accommodation conditions, and the free dental prosthetics and treatment program for soldiers.
The hospital management promised to carry out major repairs of the wards and improve the conditions for food and medical assistance within two months. However, after a follow-up monitoring on December 13, it was found that no changes had been made.
“Patients are forced to buy medicines at their own expense, although these medicines should be provided free of charge,” the office stated.
Military personnel still remain in poor wards, and the dental prosthetics program is not operational, the Office reported.
The office also urged the hospital management to immediately create proper conditions for the military.
Earlier, combat medic Petro Konoplya announced a hunger strike at the Odesa Regional Psychiatric Hospital No. 2 due to poor conditions. After inspection, it was determined that conditions for patients, including military personnel, are unsatisfactory and do not meet standards.
In Kyiv, veteran Pavlo Yakimchuk had a conflict with a woman in National Police uniform over parking violations. Yakimchuk was insulted by the police officer. This incident was mentioned by the veteran on Facebook. The conflict also drew a response from the National Police and the ombudsman.
