NAZC found no illegal enrichment of former head of SBU cyber department Vytiuk.

The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has completed an inspection of the former head of the Cybersecurity Department of the Security Service, Illia Vytiuk. The inspection found no signs of illegal enrichment. This was stated in the NAZC's response to a request from "Slidstvo.Info".

As noted, the monitoring of Vytiuk's lifestyle was completed on September 10. The results showed no inconsistencies between the ex-official's standard of living and his property status and declared income.

The National Agency for Corruption Prevention explains that the value of Vytiuk's and his family's property does not exceed the legal limit that would indicate possible illegal enrichment. According to the law, assets may be deemed unjustified if their value exceeds the subsistence minimum by 500 times or more.

It is worth noting that "Slidstvo.Info" published an investigation stating that after the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the wife of the head of the Cybersecurity Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, Illia Vytiuk, purchased an expensive apartment in a premium-class residential complex in Pechersk, Kyiv. Vytiuk's declaration states that the property was purchased for 12.8 million UAH, but the market price of such an apartment is over 20 million UAH. The property was allegedly purchased with the income of his wife, who registered as an individual entrepreneur a few days before the full-scale war, and there is no information about her activities.

Later, journalists reported that on April 1, their journalist Yevhenii Shulhat was approached by TCC officers and attempted to deliver a summons. The publication stated that the Security Service of Ukraine could have given the corresponding instruction to the military commissariat representatives because the journalist exposed the elite property of the head of the SBU Cybersecurity Department, Illia Vytiuk. The intelligence officers assured that they are conducting an inspection.

The Office of the Prosecutor General also initiated a criminal proceeding on the case of obstruction of journalistic activity after representatives of the military commissariat attempted to deliver a summons to the "Slidstvo.Info" journalist Yevhenii Shulhat on the instruction of a security service officer.

By the way, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, suspended the head of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Field of Information Security, Illia Vytiuk, from his duties during the investigation of the circumstances published by "Slidstvo.Info" journalists.

By the decision of the head of the SBU, Vytiuk will serve in the combat unit of the DCKIB, which performs defense tasks and destroys the enemy and its equipment directly on the front line together with the Special Operations Center "A" during the inspections.

Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree dismissing Illia Vytiuk from the position of head of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Field of Information Security of the Security Service of Ukraine.
