Repeatedly saved the lives of his comrades. Let's remember Mykhailo Korol.
Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives have been taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Mykhailo Korol.
Mykhailo Korol committed suicide on January 21, 2025, as reported by the Lviv City Council.
Mykhailo was born on June 27, 1973, in Lviv and lived in the village of Vynnychyky in the Lviv region.
He studied at Secondary School No. 63 in Lviv and received an education at Vocational Technical School No. 26 in the profession of 'repairman for automobiles of the third category'.
Mykhailo worked for over 10 years at a private enterprise 'Matvol', and from 2017 he worked at the PP 'Lviv-Plast'. He devoted all his free Time to his family and had a passion for cars.
On January 29, 2023, Mykhailo was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and after training in military unit A-4447, he was appointed to the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he served as a senior mechanic-driver of a mechanized platoon.
He participated in battles near the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Polohy district of the Zaporizhzhia region and near the village of Dachne near Kurakhove in the Donetsk region. Mykhailo repeatedly saved the lives of his comrades by evacuating the wounded, despite sustaining injuries.
For his diligent work, on December 1, 2024, Mykhailo was awarded the Honorable Badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 'Cross of the Brave'.
The farewell to the warrior took place on January 30, 2025, at the temple of St. Great Martyr Demetrius of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Vynnychyky. The burial took place at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul and at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv after the city farewell ceremony at Rynok Square.
Mykhailo is survived by his wife, two daughters, two sons-in-law, a granddaughter, a sister, and a mother-in-law.
'Glavkom' joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for their homeland. We remember those who were killed by Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in mourning during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack by hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
