Netanyahu Declares Iran’s Nuclear Program Destroyed: What Are Israel’s War Aims?.
Statement from Israel’s Prime Minister
According to TSN.ua: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that, as a result of joint U.S.-Israeli strikes, Iran can no longer enrich uranium or produce ballistic missiles. This declaration comes amid an ongoing military campaign against Iran that has now lasted 20 days. The strikes on Iran began on February 28 and were launched in response to aggressive actions by Tehran.
Netanyahu emphasized that one of the key achievements of these operations is the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program, as well as the elimination of its ballistic missile capabilities. He stated that Iran currently lacks the ability to enrich uranium and cannot manufacture ballistic missiles. In addition, the Prime Minister outlined a third objective for Israel in this war: creating conditions that benefit the Iranian people.
Escalation of the Conflict and Its Consequences
It is worth noting that in retaliation for Iranian strikes on Qatar, European gas prices surged by 35%. Furthermore, Iran shot down a U.S. F-35 aircraft for the first time, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
President Trump asked us to refrain from future attacks, and we will comply. — Benjamin Netanyahu
Trump, for his part, stated that 'the war against Iran will continue as long as necessary.' These developments highlight growing international concern over the conflict.
The situation between Israel and Iran remains tense, and actions by both sides could have serious consequences for regional stability. The international community’s response—particularly the U.S. position—shows that this is not just a local conflict but one with global implications, affecting energy markets and worldwide security. As events unfold, further escalation remains a possibility, causing anxiety among many nations.
