According to TSN.ua: A nighttime Russian missile strike on a residential high-rise in Kharkiv has resulted in civilian deaths, including children. Among the victims are a primary school teacher from Lyceum No. 6 and her second-grade son, as well as an eighth-grade student from Lyceum No. 16 who perished alongside her mother. Search and rescue operations at the site are ongoing.
The attack caused extensive damage, destroying the building's entrance and sections from the first to the fifth floor. Preliminary reports indicate at least two children were killed. A fifth body was later recovered from the rubble, underscoring the severity of the tragedy. Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, has faced repeated shelling since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
'Search and rescue work at the site of the strike on the residential building continues,' stated Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
