Train Schedules Adjusted After Kyiv Attack

According to TSN.ua: Following a nighttime assault on the Kyiv region, several train routes have been altered, with some areas operating under restrictions. Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state railway, has announced potential delays and schedule deviations.

In the Kherson region, monitoring teams are operating at an enhanced level to ensure passenger safety and respond swiftly to the situation. In the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, local trains are temporarily running to and from the city of Konotop as part of the revised routing.

Bus Services Organized for Passengers

In the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, bus transportation has been arranged from the Lozova station towards Kramatorsk to maintain connectivity despite the restrictions. Train No. 101/102 on the Barvinkove–Kherson route will await a transfer from Kramatorsk, further illustrating the adaptation of transport routes to the new conditions.

In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, travel between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia is being facilitated with the involvement of bus carriers. These changes are a direct response to the situation caused by the nighttime attack that occurred on February 22, when Russia launched a mass strike on the Kyiv region. This incident is part of a wider pattern of attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure that has persisted since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.

Ukrzaliznytsia urges passengers to monitor schedule updates and remain vigilant during travel, as possible delays and route changes could affect their plans.

These adjustments to transport organization demonstrate the swift response of Ukrainian transport services to security threats, particularly under wartime conditions. The adaptation of routes and the introduction of bus connections in regions affected by attacks underscore the critical importance of maintaining population mobility and supporting passenger transport in critical situations. Heightened attention to safety and continuous situation monitoring are key aspects of efforts to reduce risks for passengers.
