Germany has banned entry to the country for two Russians

Germany has imposed a ban on entry for two Russians who organized pro-Kremlin rallies in Germany. This is reported by Reuters.

The banned individuals include Elena Kolbasnikova and Max Schlund, who consistently held rallies in Germany calling not to support Ukraine after the Russian invasion.

According to a Reuters investigation, Kolbasnikova and Schlund were active propagandists for the pro-Russian position in Germany and received funding from the Russian government.

In 2023, German prosecutors conducted a search at the couple's home near Cologne, after which it was discovered that they were raising funds to purchase radio stations and other equipment for Russian military personnel involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

In June 2024, Kolbasnikova and Schlund announced their departure from Germany to Russia due to a "discriminatory campaign against Russians."

This week, Kolbasnikova published a message on her Telegram channel stating that they are banned from entering Germany for the next 20 years. The reason for the ban was threats to Germany's security associated with their activities. She even shared a video showing a letter from the Cologne administration about the ban.

The prosecutor's office and the Cologne administration declined to comment on this situation.

Interestingly, Elena Kolbasnikova was born in Ukraine and only acquired Russian citizenship in 2023. Max Schlund is a Russian who has lived in Germany for over 10 years.

Supply of Iris-T systems to Ukraine

Moreover, Germany has delivered new Iris-T air defense systems to Ukraine. They include medium and short-range missile systems. Earlier, Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the delivery of 17 more such systems to Ukraine.

According to Scholz, Ukrainian troops have already used seven delivered Iris-T systems to shoot down over 250 Russian missiles and drones. The remaining systems will be delivered shortly to strengthen Ukraine's defense.
