Grounds for Denying Registration for Ukraine's 2026 National Multi-Subject Test.
Revised Registration Rules for the 2026 National Multi-Subject Test
According to TSN.ua: In 2026, applicants may be barred from registering for Ukraine's National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) under specific conditions, as established by the new law 13650 passed by the Verkhovna Rada. The single-day testing format for the NMT will remain unchanged. This test is a key component of university admissions in Ukraine, replacing final school exams for entrants.
Prospective students taking the NMT in 2026 are exempt from the State Final Attestation (DPA). The NMT will cover the following subjects:
- Ukrainian language
- Mathematics
- History of Ukraine
- One elective subject
It is also important to note that NMT scores earned from 2023 onward will remain valid for university applications in 2026.
Reasons for Registration Rejection
What specific actions can lead to a registration denial? An applicant can be refused if they provide false information, fail to upload all required documents, or submit copies that do not meet legal standards. An official denial on these grounds, however, grants applicants with special educational needs the right to take an entrance exam directly at their chosen university.
The introduction of these new registration rules for the 2026 NMT aims to enhance transparency and fairness in the higher education admissions process. By emphasizing the accuracy of applicant data, authorities hope to reduce fraudulent cases and improve overall educational standards. Given that NMT results from 2023 are still usable, applicants must ensure all their documentation is complete and compliant to avoid any registration issues.
