Application Window Opens for Cash Support to Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainians registered as internally displaced persons (IDPs) or local residents in five regions can now apply for a new cash payout from the charity 'Right to Protection.' The maximum amount reaches 12,300 hryvnia per individual. This program aims to ease the financial strain on those affected by ongoing hostilities. Funding comes from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF), targeting people in Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. To be eligible, a person’s average monthly income must fall below 8,422 hryvnia.
Eligibility Requirements and Payment Details
Under the program’s terms, individuals remaining in high-risk areas can receive 1,800 hryvnia per month, totaling 10,800 hryvnia over six months. For families who have evacuated, the payout is 4,100 hryvnia per person, which comes to 12,300 hryvnia over three months. Funds are deposited into the recipient’s account within 4–6 weeks after verification.
Applicants must meet specific conditions: hold IDP status, live within 50 km of the front line, and have a monthly income below 8,422 hryvnia. Additional selection criteria include:
- disability status
- family member ages
- household composition
- employment status
- living conditions
The initiative is designed to lighten the financial burden on those most affected by the war and to provide essential support for rebuilding their lives.
