Attacks Hit Dnipropetrovsk Region

According to TSN.ua: Russian forces launched strikes on three districts of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region overnight on April 2, killing one person and wounding others. The attacks damaged infrastructure and sparked fires. Among the two injured individuals is a 12-year-old boy, who was hospitalized in moderate condition. Another victim, a 42-year-old woman, is receiving outpatient treatment.

The shelling affected multiple settlements across the region. In Synelnykove, an administrative building and a shopping center caught fire. In Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, and Tomakivka came under fire. Local emergency services are now providing assistance to those affected.

“The Russians attacked the city at midnight. I thank our medics, rescuers, and everyone who is helping. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”

Broader Regional Situation

This assault is part of a wider Russian campaign that included the use of Shahed drones across Ukraine. Five strikes were also recorded on a critical infrastructure facility in Kharkiv.

The situation in the region remains tense, and local authorities are continuing to work on clearing the aftermath of the shelling and supporting victims.

The attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region highlight an escalation of violence amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. These events not only harm civilians but also threaten overall security and stability in Ukraine. Local governments and emergency services remain on the ground to mitigate the impact of the strikes and aid the affected, though the situation is still difficult and requires sustained attention from both state bodies and the international community.
