Russian shelling of Kherson: three civilians killed, including a 57-year-old man.
According to ТСН: Today, Russian troops carried out an artillery shelling of Kherson, resulting in a hit on a cafe.
According to preliminary reports, two people died, and three were injured with varying degrees of severity. Efforts are currently ongoing to identify other victims.
“The Russians killed two Kherson residents. As a result of the enemy shelling in the central part of the city around 12:30, two men sustained injuries incompatible with life,” said the head of the local state administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
Later, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, clarified that the number of victims had increased:
“A 57-year-old Kherson resident who was injured in the Russian shelling in the central part of the city died in the hospital. Medical staff fought for the patient's life until the end, but the injuries turned out to be too severe.”
An investigation into the war crime resulting in the deaths of people has been initiated under the supervision of the Kherson regional prosecutor's office (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It has also become known that earlier, the Russians attacked an ambulance vehicle in Kherson with a drone, resulting in injuries to a 70-year-old driver of the ambulance.
This tragedy once again highlights the difficult situation in the Kherson region, which continues to suffer from military actions. Local residents and medical professionals face danger every day in their efforts to help each other.
