Occupiers advance in Donetsk region: analysts warn of an attempt to encircle the AFU.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report that the occupying Russian army has advanced near Toretsk, New York, and Zalizne in the Donetsk region. There is a possibility of an attempt to tactically encircle the AFU forces.
According to geolocation footage, the occupiers have advanced in the center of New York. Russian bloggers claimed that the AFU successfully counterattacked in the center of the settlement and captured the invaders, although this information is not yet confirmed.
There is also recorded advancement of the occupiers in the southwestern part of Zalizne, near Toretsk. There are also reports that the invaders are trying to encircle Ukrainian forces between New York and Zalizne, as well as in Druzhba.
Analysts from the Institute believe that the Russian attempt to encircle might not necessarily succeed. However, a possible advance of the Russians to the southwest of Zalizne or to the north of New York may lead to the forced retreat of Ukrainian forces from positions between Zalizne and Toretsk.
Let us remind you that the Russian forces have achieved their goal – they reached the O-0532 highway, connecting Vuhledar and Kostiantynivka.
