According to Novyny.live: Starting in June 2026, individuals in Ukraine classified with Group III disability will become eligible for state benefits, social guarantees, and financial support, including assistance payments and pensions. The government continues to offer a range of social payments and services designed to ease the daily lives of people with disabilities.

Those who have had a disability since childhood will receive state aid set at 60% of the subsistence minimum, which in 2026 will amount to 1,557.00 hryvnias. For children with disabilities, the payout will be 70% of the subsistence minimum, and as of January 1, 2026, that figure will reach 1,816.50 hryvnias. The minimum pension for non-working individuals with Group III disability in 2026 cannot fall below 2,595 hryvnias.

Additional Opportunities and Support

Beyond financial aid, people with Group III disability are entitled to two extra days of annual leave and can also take up to 30 days of unpaid leave. If the disability is war-related, they receive 14 days of paid vacation. Children with disabilities can attend extracurricular institutions free of charge.

The state also assists individuals with disabilities in improving their living conditions. They can obtain technical rehabilitation aids and medical devices, including:

  • prosthetic and orthopedic devices;
  • mobility aids, such as electric wheelchairs;
  • other medical and rehabilitation products.

If the disability is linked to war, individuals with Group III status are eligible for a 50% discount on railway transportation.
