Police in Kyiv stopped a Mercedes after a chase: the driver was drunk.

According to ТСН: In Kyiv, on Verkhnii Val Street, law enforcement officers had to take decisive measures to stop a car whose driver posed a threat to other road users.

According to preliminary information, the patrol noticed a Mercedes vehicle driving dangerously. When the police demanded the driver to stop, he did not respond and tried to escape by pressing the gas.

Chase on the capital's streets

The chase occurred through the streets of Podil. Considering the danger the driver posed to pedestrians and other vehicles, the patrol decided to take necessary measures.

The offender was stopped only by physically blocking his movement.

A journalist stated that the stop occurred as a result of a collision between the fugitive's car and the patrol car.

Driver's arrest

After blocking the vehicle, law enforcement officers arrested the driver, who turned out to be in a state of alcohol intoxication.

Let us remind you that in Kyiv region, a minibus crossed into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with Jeep and Volkswagen vehicles. One person died, and 13 were injured.
