Pensions, subsidies and benefits, drug prices: important changes in Ukraine from March 1.

The Government of Ukraine is implementing social measures from March 1, 2025
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his official Telegram channel.
Pension payments will start to be indexed by 11.5% from March 1, which will affect about 10 million pensioners in Ukraine.
Prices for the 100 most expensive medical drugs will also be reduced. The government has reached an agreement with pharmaceutical companies to decrease the prices of these drugs by 10% - 50%.
'From March 1, we will automatically continue payments for living expenses for internally displaced persons. Those who receive them now will continue to receive them automatically for the next six months. We are talking about 1.2 million IDPs,' said the head of government.
The Prime Minister also reported on the decision regarding the payment of subsidies to citizens who did not receive them due to providing incomplete or untimely information. This is especially relevant for residents of housing cooperatives, where service providers delayed or completely failed to provide the necessary information.
The government is also making technical changes to the mechanism for providing subsidies for housing rent for internally displaced persons, which will allow them to receive assistance for housing rent in Kharkiv and Sumy.
