The first group of Ukrainian pilots completed training on Alphajet aircraft in France.

The first group of Ukrainian pilots on Alphajet jet training aircraft has completed training in France. This was reported by the General Staff of the French Army.

The French Armed Forces noted that Ukrainian pilots have been undergoing training since March 2024. The number of pilots who successfully completed the course meets Ukraine's needs.

«France has just completed training of the first group of Ukrainian pilots on Alphajet aircraft», the message says.

It is noted that the French Air Force Center has been training pilots to meet the operational needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine since March 2024.

The training of Ukrainian pilots is part of the defense aid from France.

For pilot flight training, modified Alphajet jet training aircraft provided by Belgium are used. They are equipped with an instrument panel that simulates the one in F-16 fighters.

In order to properly operate these aircraft and start training flights, the French Air and Space Forces have halted the decommissioning process.

Recall, a few days ago, Ukrainian pilots arrived in Romania to master F-16 fighters and have already started training. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced the start of training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 in Romania after a conversation with his Romanian counterpart Angel Tilvar. This is the first mastery of Western fighters by Ukrainians in Romania.
