It is recalled that the first three modernized Dassault Aviation Mirage 2000-5F fighters were supposed to arrive in Ukraine by January 20, 2025.
It is noted that the planes are being transferred from the French Air and Space Force's warehouses and are adapted for performing tasks for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, Ukraine is expected to receive up to ten such combat aircraft.
The transfer of Mirage 2000-5F became possible due to agreements between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of France Emmanuel Macron. These aircraft are added to the list of key military assistance from France, alongside Caesar artillery systems and AMX-10RC armored vehicles.
Thus, Ukrainian pilots and mechanics today, December 25, completed their training on French Mirage 2000-5F fighters after six months of training. It lasted for half a year.
