The Polish Olympic Committee expressed its support for Andrzej Duda's candidacy for a position on the International Olympic Committee. This was reported by Polsat.

According to information from 29 members of the Board of the Polish National Olympic Committee, 4 were against this idea and 6 abstained. The head of the organization, Radoslaw Piesiewicz, noted that Duda, as a person interested in Olympism, will help Poland on the international sports arena.

Election of the new president of the International Olympic Committee

Duda's term ends in 2025, and the 2025 International Olympic Committee congress is scheduled earlier - in March. One of the main issues at this congress will be the election of a new president to replace Thomas Bach from Germany.
