South Korea Imposes Sanctions Against Russia and North Korea.
The South Korean government announced the imposition of sanctions against Russia and North Korea to punish them for supporting Russia's military actions against Ukraine.
The sanctions will target missile developers, military representatives of the Korean People's Army, and individuals who financed cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, as well as those involved in the transportation of weapons and military equipment.
The sanctions also extend to companies that provided materials and financial support for the development of North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.
The new sanctions by South Korea will take effect on December 19.
Other countries will also impose sanctions
On December 16, European Union countries imposed a 15th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, targeting the Russian 'shadow fleet' and military-industrial complex.
On the same day, the EU Council took sanctioning measures against 28 individuals from Belarus, specifically business owners, partners, and board members who benefited from Lukashenko's regime and helped circumvent sanctions.
The United Kingdom also expanded its sanctions list against Russia by adding 30 oil tankers that were transporting oil from the RF. Now, British sanctions apply to over 80 oil tankers.
