A drug dealer was detained in Kyiv: police seized cocaine worth 35 million hryvnias.
According to ТСН: In Kyiv, law enforcement detained a 37-year-old foreigner who organized the sale of drugs in the city. During a search of a rented minibus, about four kilograms of cocaine hidden in boxes of household goods were discovered.
According to law enforcement, the value of the seized drug on the black market is approximately 35 million hryvnias. The operation to detain was conducted by investigators from the Shevchenkivskyi police department together with fighters from the special police unit PPOП №1.
Detention of the offender
The head of the local police, Ihor Padiuk, noted that the suspect was stopped on the street while transporting another batch of drugs for sale. In addition to the drugs, law enforcement seized the minibus and the detainee's mobile phone.
Legal consequences
The suspect has been charged with the illegal sale of narcotic substances in especially large quantities. By court order, he is in custody. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Investigative actions are underway to clarify possible accomplices of the detainee and the full network of drug supply.
In this context, it is important to emphasize that the fight against drug crime remains one of the priority tasks of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Establishing all the circumstances of the case will help prevent similar incidents in the future.
