These conditions demand increased caution, particularly for those in or traveling to the Carpathians.
Forecast for March 5th
March 5th will see notable temperature fluctuations across Ukraine. Daytime air temperatures will range from +4 to +9 degrees Celsius, rising to +6–12 degrees in the southern and western parts of the country. The northeast will remain cooler, with temperatures from +1 to +4 degrees. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will vary from +1 to -4 degrees, with a daytime high of +4 to +9 degrees.
- Odesa: Variable cloudiness is expected. Nighttime temperatures from -1 to +4 degrees, rising to up to +13 degrees during the day.
- Dnipro: Nighttime temperatures from -2 to +3 degrees, with a daytime range of +5 to +10 degrees.
- Kharkiv: Nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from -3 to +2 degrees, reaching +1 to +6 degrees in the day.
- Lviv: From March 4th to 7th, variable cloudiness with no precipitation is forecast. Nighttime temperatures from -1 to +4 degrees, climbing to up to +12 degrees during the day.
By March 8th, 2023, a further temperature increase is predicted. Daytime air temperatures are expected to reach +5 to +11 degrees, potentially climbing to +14 degrees in western oblasts.
Furthermore, a level three avalanche danger has been declared for the Zakarpattia mountains on March 4th and 5th, 2023. This is a critical warning for anyone planning to visit mountain areas, as the avalanche risk poses a serious threat to safety.
