In Kyiv, a fake police officer was fined for staging the arrest of Santa Claus.

According to ТСН: At one of the entertainment venues in Kyiv, a staging of Santa Claus's arrest operation took place during the show. The man portraying the police officer was actually an employee of the club.

Identifying the fake police officer

The Kyiv police learned about this incident during monitoring of social media. Operatives from the Holosiivskyi Police Department, together with criminal analysts, were able to identify the individual playing the role of the police officer. He turned out to be a 25-year-old employee of the entertainment venue.

Legal consequences

The police emphasized that this person has no relation to law enforcement agencies. An administrative protocol was drawn up for the illegal use of police uniforms and insignia in accordance with Article 184-3 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The suspect faces a fine of up to 34,000 hryvnias.

The police also noted that the use of uniform clothing, distinguishing marks and other insignia without legal grounds is a violation of the law, which entails administrative responsibility.

Other incidents

It is worth noting that in the Kyiv region, the city council secretary accused the mayor of beating, claiming he was hospitalized with injuries.

This situation underscores the importance of adhering to legislation regarding the use of uniform clothing. Conducting entertainment shows with staged events that contain elements of law enforcement activities may have serious consequences for the participants. The police will continue to monitor similar cases to prevent possible violations in the future.
